the battery led is flashing orange, which must mean something bad? The
user manual doesn't help, apart from to suggest that the battery is
low, which it isn't.
The other strange thing is that it never charges up to 100% or even 90%
after its been on charge overnight. It might get to say 60% and the
green led is out showing that it isn't charging anymore. So I remove
the charger plug and then re-connect it again, and this time it gets to
say 70%. I can repeat that about 6 times and then it gets up to about
95%. Its like the charger circuitry is on a timer, rather than staying
on charge until its fully charged up. The laptop & battery are less
than a year old and up to now its been used with the charger connected,
rather than using the battery.
Has anyone any answers please ?
Re: Dell Inspiron 630m - orange flashing battery led
When it gets to, say, 60%, if you unplug the AC (and leave it
unplugged), for how long will the battery run the laptop?
If you charge it to 60% (or whatever you can get to), let it sit
(removed from the computer) for a couple of days and then reinsert it,
with the laptop unplugged, for how long will it then run the laptop?
