I have a Toshiba laptop that the warranty recently ran out. Now the
computer is starting to freeze up. Right in the middle of work the
computer will just freeze and do nothing. I was wondering what my be
causing this problem. I run mcafee anti virus and I don't appear to
have a virus. I hope this is a simple fix. I am not very computer savy
I am good just to be able to turn the thing on so any help would be
much appreciated.

Thanks. JRT

My two Toshiba 2595XDVD laptops do this all of the time. Well maybe once
in 24 hours or 5 times a day. They would totally lock up. Can't move
power, select anything, and even ALT-CTRL-DEL didn't work either. Only a
hold power button would work.

That was until the day I discovered by accidently tapping the Fn key. It
unlocks every time. And one has Windows 98SE and the other one Windows
2000. Go figure.
