I have learned to keep liquids far, far away from my laptop the hard
Approximately 34 hours ago I spilled a partial glass of milk on my
laptop keyboard. I immediately shut it down and unplugged the power
chord and began drying it out. I took out the battery and the disc
drive and laid it upside and let it dry for over 24 hours. A couple
hours ago I turned it back on to see what damage I had caused and
almost all of the keys are typing the wrong thing, some not working at
all. I know the best thing to do is probably replace the keyboard, but
I'm trying to avoid that if I can.
First I am going to connect a desktop keyboard to it to make sure it's
just the keyboard that's malfunctioning. (I sure hope that's it, too!)
If that's the case, I want to try and pop off all the keys and clean
it, or just remove the keyboard to do so. But I can't figure out how to
get the keyboard off. I have researched how to pop the keys off and put
them back on carefully. I am going to try all that I can think of, and
come back and post again. But if you have any suggestions, I could
REALLY use the help. I just purchased this laptop not even a month ago
and I already screwed it up. So any feedback would be great!

go here and download / save the entire manual:

then, if you DO need to order a keyboard , the part number is on pg 55
of 254

First remove power, battery etc then go to pages 107,108,109,110 for a
walkthru on r/r keyboard

Good luck.

Thank you so much. I think I'll probably replace it but I'm trying
everything I can until then.
