Let me be more specific, I'm talking about a totally dead no-power
laptop. All the obvious things have been checked, be it memory, AC
adapter, hard drive, battery, etc. Basically you've isolated it to
something internally wrong with the laptop.

Well IF it's totally DOA.. it could be just about ANYTHING.. . however. I'd
start by checking on the POWER Button. if it has died. you can try overiding
it and pressing the button on the MB itself..
IF you told us WHICH MODEL / MAKE laptop you are talking about . we may be
able to help you a bit further.
