Re: AS3502WLCi vs AS3002WLCi - Advice needed

the 3502 uses a celeron but has more ram and larger hd, and the 3002 uses an
amdchip with half the ram and a smaller hd slightly better video card. Imho
the cache shouldn't even be a concern. I would take more ram over more cache
any day.

Re: AS3502WLCi vs AS3002WLCi - Advice needed

Thanks for the info, but they both have 512 ram ( 2X 256 ) and both have a
60 Gig drive. I was thinking if the cache was important, the 3502 with Xp
Home would work with the 1mb cache, but if the cache isn't that important
the 3002 with the better video card and pro would be better for an extra 50

With these being about the price I still can't decide which one to get. Does
your opinion change with the RAM and hard drive being the same?

Hope others will express their thoughts soon, I'm running an 233 gateway on
a 56k as a temp and getting ready to trash it with a hammer. j/k

Re: AS3502WLCi vs AS3002WLCi - Advice needed

yea but to me it would come down to whether I want an intel or amd chip. I
know the intel chips usually last longer on battery and with a 1mb cache I
might just pick that. What I'm not sure about is the relative speed of a cel
M to a normal celeron desktop. I heard you multiply the ghz by 2, but it's
only hear say. With the exact same specs I might go for the cel. As for the
graphics well it depends. Both of the graphics cards suck, but since you
can't upgrade that component you may want to think carefully before picking
the older 661MX
