fresh install of XP on my HP dv1000 notebook. But now I need the
drivers and don't have the Applications and Drivers Recovery CD. What
are my alternatives? I went to the HP web site for Support and Drivers
and entered my machine's number, i.e. Pavilion dv1000, and a list of
many drivers were displayed. How do I know which ones to download?
Re: Applications & Drivers CD for HP dv1000 notebook
You can try Device Manager - right click My Computer, select Properties.
Look at every device that has a red or yellow icon, then check the HP
site for that device. You can download Everest free version (Google:
Everest) and it will show you every device in the machine.
Alternatively, call HP support and order the appropriate CD set.
BTW, you were offered the option to burn all recovery CDs on the initial
startup. Do not ignore this on any new computer!
