As the title says, am I in the right place.
I need to ask questions about a problem I am having getting a PCMCIA
floppy disk drive to work after a fresh install of Win95 on an old
The weird thing is that the floppy drive works perfectly when using a
Win95 setup disk or disk #1 of the install disks (floppies) but once
the install is complete, the drive stops working.
On start up, I get the message about new hardware found, a YE DATA
floppy disk drive, and I have the driver for it on a floppy disk but
how the heck can I install it if the floppy doesn't respond?
Is there a way to use the start up disk to get to the A: prompt and
then copy the files to a folder on the desktop so i can install from
there after a normal boot?
If that is possible, could some kind soul tell me EXACTLY what I need
to write at the A: prompt?
