first question is where is the mouse at on a laptop is it already built
in or do you have to buy one for it. 2nd question is if you wanted to
get internet service how does that work does the laptop have a place for
a phone line like a regular computer or does it run on batteries. thanks
for any information on this matter.

Re: 2 questions
intended to be "text only" with no graphics.
All modern laptops have a built-in "pointing device" although it's not a
"mouse". When not traveling, almost all users connect an external mouse
to the laptop because a real mouse is much easier to use than any of the
various types of pointing devices that laptops have internally.
Many laptops have built-in jacks for a phone connection or a wired
connection, some also have built-in wireless networking. However, on
any laptop one can always use a "PC Card" or USB add-on modem, wired
networking adapter or wireless networking adapter.
