Been looking for laptop speakers which are small in size but big in
volume, portable (able to travel in a laptop bag). Found this at
Newegg.com:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834977004

Anybody tried these yet? Looks just like what I need but would like to
hear reports before buying.

Any other suggestions for good travel type laptop speakers?

The answer to your question is right there on the specs page.
200Hz. low end. That's not what I'd call BIG sound.
And they always exaggerate, so I wouldn't expect anywhere near
200Hz. anyway.

What the world needs is a digital audio SUBWOOFER that augments your
laptop internal speakers. This product proves the concept,
they just do the wrong thing with it.

I bought the logitech ones. (V20 I think) USB Powered. They come in
there own hard case. Nice sound. And compact. There lightweight, So if
you turn them up to much they move around on the table. Thats how loud
they get.
