 i bought an old laptop and some of the keys on keyboard type
numbers...is there anyway to fix this...thanks

Hold down the Fn key and press NumLk - or similar. Sounds like you've got
numlock on.

You have "num lock" or "pad lock" turned on (pad lock = KEYpad lock)

Perhaps it's a security measure - and automatically produces encrypted
