i think it over heated and there was a pop and it went dead....now
there is no power lights or anything it is lifeless....is it junk
now,,,,,thanks for any help....its a compaq armada m700

"Pop", in the usual case, is fatal. If you cannot get any sign of life,
you might try: with the AC adapter disconnected, hold down the power key
for at least 60 sec. Wait one hour (as I recall), then attach the AC
adapter, and try the power key again. If this fails to provide a
restart, then I believe that a funeral pyre is appropriate.
