Hi - I'd appreciate any advice you can give me on this problem.

I live in the UK, in a flat owned by the local council. If you want to
move house, the usual way is to exchange your flat with someone else.

My idea is to make a website with some attractive pictures of my flat
and the local area, then put an ad in the local paper of whichever
town I want to move to, with the Web address.

The trouble is, the last time I tried to set up a website, it took
weeks and was a disaster - and that was with the Web provider's site
builder.

All I want is one long page that I can put about 20 photos on, plus
some text.

Would a blog on somewhere like blogger.com be the best idea? Or is
there a better one?

Not sure if this is the best newsgroup for such a query - if not, I'd
appreciate any suggestions of other groups.

Thanks in advance.

How about Facebook?

Facebook would work, or a good Craig's List ad. There's no need to create a
whole new website just for one page. Ideally you would want to make a page
where people might already be looking for housing. Kill two birds with one
stone and all that.
