Regarding the centering of the nav bar, set the left and right margins
to auto and set the text-alignment to center (this will make IE
browsers center the content).

re WP, you will probably need to some how add your template to it (I
don't know WP that well I have really only used Mambo and that was not
easy to customise, mind you WP has better code.
