Hi,people.

Can anyone help me with installing this Linux on my laptop?
It is COMPAQ LTE5280.It has external floppy and CD Rom.
It hasn`t options for booting CD Rom in Bios.

The Linux on Laptops site (www.linux-on-laptops.com) would be a good
place to start. Even though they didn't have my specific laptop written
up, I was able to use info from the other write-ups to figure out how to
install FC4 to my Acer Aspire 3002LCi with all it's hardware working.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic... I did a fast check on their site & found
that your laptop is listed. Somebody wrote up a how to on installing
Slackware 10.2.

This may be your best place to start. I hope this helps...

all you need to do is figure out how to get your laptop to boot from the
CD. I'm sure the Slackware installation has this info for you.

Ubuntu install should take care of everything else on its own.
