Win XP HE

Hi,

I am wondering if I can install any previous versions of
ActiveSync--specifically the latest version NOT requiring either of Win
XP Service Pack 1 or 2 (no Service Packs).

I have this link to 4.0:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/4/5/c45f8f83-6383-43d7-840b-cb9638484e4d/setup.exe

and this link to 3.8:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=22&p=2&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=&u=%2fdownloads%2fdetails.aspx%3fFamilyID%3dd2645c21-8a85-45a2-8d13-653beb6cdddc%26DisplayLang%3den

Will any of the above work with new smartphones such as SDA, etc.?
Tx.

Wanted to mention that I also have version 4.1 on a cd rom. Not sure
if requires SP1 or not.

Thanks. That's a great reference.
Can u help a bit more by telling me where specifically my issue (no
service packs) is addressed? I am not finding a reference to the extact
question--what is the latest version of ActiveSync NOT requiring SP1 or
SP2? (And a link to it...)

I have no idea of what's meant by the references to service packs...
afaik, there are no service pack issues related to activesync

You didn't post your exact ppc make/model/os which is necessary to make
any informed comment... the main point is that if your device runs
windows mobile version 5, you have no choice to run any version other
than 4.2

If your os is earlier than WM5, you should not use ASync 4.x
