Hi,

To change the size of the partition use a program named "partition
magic"
But it is not a freeware.

Hi,
About 6 months ago I had a problem with this. I installed linux to dual
boot with XP and it had altered the MBR in such a way that XP refused to
boot or even be seen! Not sure if they have repaired this know, but at the
time the Linux crowd were blaming MS for using such an outdated method of
reading the MBR. I blamed Linux, as their packaging quite clearly states
that it can be dual booted when following their instructions.

I would pose this question on a Linux forum to see if this issue has been
fixed.

If you're worried about using lilo or grub as the boot mangler, let the
ntbootldr do the job, and chuck the linux boot loader into the beginning
of the linux partition. It's pretty straight forward. Google for
instructions.
