I am trying to determine if a copy of files from a pc's activesync directory
would be useful to restore data to an ipaq. Double unfortunate event
occured when both the pc with the activesync app running, and the ipaq
crashed.

Suggestions on what files to use and how to go about doing it are
appreciated.

-Mike

Hi,
The files are not usable separate from ActiveSync and the PC and Pocket PC
that they were last running on.

Hi Mike,

If you have performed a backup using ActiveSync, check if the file is
available. Search for *.stg file. Refer to
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/backup.htm

If you have not performed a backup, you can try looking under the following
location for your sync'd data files -

C:\Documents and Settings\<<User Name>>>\My Documents\<<<Partnership Name>>>

Note: C: might need to be replaced with appropriate drive letter

The Outlook data is stored in the Outlook.pst file, so search for that too.
