Hello group,

I've come across the iMate JASJAR and seen some very impressive photos.
I've seen one set of specs which state that the screen is 3.6". I
appreciate that photos can be misleading but is this correct? The screen
looks much bigger relative to the size of the unit and a 3.6" diagonal is
actually quite small especially in portrait mode. It's not much bigger than
some mobile phone screens.

Are these specs correct? Has anyone seen/used one? In practice can a 3.6"
screen comfortably support 640x480?

Any thoughts/experiences appreciated.

Tanel.

I got one of these devices at the PDC. The screen is 3.6", which is
much bigger than any cell phone that I've seen (It's the same physical
size as all the other standard PDA devices). The 640x480 looks great,
and gives very good clarity. It's very sharp.

In short: the device is incredible. I've surfed the internet (at
640x480, it's quite usable, unlike a cell phone), played games, typed
some documents (it has a keyboard, AND does handwriting recognition).
My SIM card from Cingular/at&t plugged right in, and imported my
numbers straight into the contacts list. This is one cool device.

In the end I opted for a Flybook, an ultraportable subnotebook/tablet PC,
thanks anyway for your input. I might even consider a Jasjar in place of my
next mobile!
