I have code like this:
<embed src="ftp://ftp.example.com/movies/clip1234.mov " >
They're 10-20MB quicktime, held on an ftp server, no streaming. I don't
know exactly what screen size they are. If the users have got to this
point, they can be assumed to want an embedded view rather than the
many other download links we've already offered them.
So what do I do next ? I'm strongly inclined to leave <embed> well
alone, on the grounds that it's working quite happily as it is. Is
there a convincing argument in favour of moving to <object> and if so,
what should the resultant HTML look like (as best current practice for
such things) ?
Thanks for any advice from those more au fait with video.
