I have reconstructed a site on a new server.
Now there is the following problem with a few individual bits of it.
On a page that lists a load of files that are available in the same
directory - one of them is not accessible with IE when working over the
net. It is accessible with Firefox. I cannot see any visible problem
when looking at the index.html with a text editor (but admit my own html
knowledge is limited.)
With exactly the same index.html and the same file to access on a local
directory IE is able to find/display it. What could be at the back of this?
Grateful for any tips at all.
Re: Content accessable remote with Firefox but not IE, while accessable with both locally?

Thanks anyhow - but now I have fixed the problems. 90% of it was due to
the fact that I had added some new content with German language
"Umlauts" in the file names. (Like ä ö and ü etc...) once I took those
out the biggest part of the IE- malfunctions were gone.
(I did not publicise the URL cos I basically did not want folks from all
over contacting the guy behind the site, who would not be impressed if
he got mail from folks relating to my query on the uucp news.)
