rate this thread
for me. The display isn't as clear as it should be but he said yes, it's
fine. I asked him to change back to my old monitor which had been great but
now this, too, was fuzzy. He said it looked fine to him. He tells me I
should try to exchange the new monitor for another one if I can't live with
it but I figure that won't be right, either, that there's something wrong
with the computer since neither the new nor the old one looks right. What
do you think?
Re: Your Opinions Needed
Yes, it is a LCD monitor.
The thing with LCD/TFT monitors is that they only give a sharp picture
in their native resolution, in this case 1280x1024. The problem is that
it also means that the text is smaller to read so you have probably got
it set to 1024x768 or 800x600. At these resolutions, text and images
will have blurry edges.
Go into Control Panel, Display Properties. Click on the Settings tab
and where it says Screen Resolution on the bottom left, move the slider
until it says 1280x1024 then click Apply. If the text is too small,
click on Appearance tab and the font size settings are at the bottom.
Same shit, different day.
