this connector called?) power connectors that come from a PS. Once
you plug this device into the power connector, you can then plug in
several case/CPU fans I'm looking for a name of this device or
somewhere that might have it.
Re: What are the connectors called that plug into your PS connectors and let you plug a fan in directly?
Whole device doesn't have a special name per se, it's just a
4 pin socket (often referred to as a molex, because molex
was one of the most prominent manufacturers of the socket at
the time) and the entire thing described generically as a
splitter or Y-adapter or # of pins or special purpose,
perhaps 2-way or 3-way, etc, depending on how many ways it
splits. If you need more fans/etc than such a connector
supports you simply daisey chain a few together, being
mindful of how much current you are asking of the PSU leads
they're plugged into.
So essentially the name depends on exactly what it is, or
who sells it. Tthere are already a lot of configurations
and this is only considering most common computer pin
Here's a few, at very competitive prices (very cheap USPS
shipping too if the order is very small),
A few connectors. Often they don't come with pins, which
must be purchased as a separate item as needed.
