because of physical restrictions, want to use a hdtv as a parttime
monitor from a recliner. Not being well versed about plasma or lcd and
having read  it is possible to chose something that would be unsuitable
I would appreciate any knowledgable suggestion of what to accquire. My
price range would be approximately $2,000. I have an Amd 2400 w/1 gig
2700 dram and chaintech geforce-FX5200 ultra. The box will only used for
surfing and playing simple board games,no great demand ,from10-12 foot
distance. I saw a 42" w/1780x760 advertised for $1790 ,a brand I'm
unfamiliar with. Want largest size for my price range. What specs should
I require and brands to prefer or avoid. thanks-rek

If I were to spend that kind of money I would make sure that there were a
laptop handy to get a demo. If you don't have one then they could produce
one if you said that was a requirement to make the sale.
