Will Sony tell us what is inside the computer ?
For this to be possible, the computer must be using an industry
standard modular approach for video. Many older laptops have
proprietary solutions, and nobody makes replacement video for them.
For example, this Nvidia MXM module is a way for laptops to
have replaceable video cards. Does Sony use these ?

I don't know.
Since your laptop is "thin and light", that reduces considerably
the chances that the video card can be replaced. It is more
likely to be a video chip soldered directly to the motherboard
of the laptop. Making space for a removable assembly, would
make the laptop too fat.
