I know this may be a stupid question but...
if I have two or three scsi adapters in the same pc does it matter if
the device id is the same on the different adapters. ie can I have a
scsi tape drive with an device id of 6 on one adapter and have a
different device with an id of 6 on a different adapter. I know they
cannot be the same on the same host adapter.
Thanks in advance!

Re: scsi question...same device id on different host adapters???
Each SCSI bus is independent of the other. There is no problem with the
same ID as long as it's on a separate SCSI bus. Though with each SCSI
adaptor supporting 8 devices (include the controller) or 16 for Wide there
usually isn't a need to have multiple.
