I've installed Win XP Pro on a homebuilt several times with no problems. I
had a crash where the system file got corrupt and I have to re-install
Windows. Problem is, when I do the install, I get an error I've never seen
before. This is a 939 motherboard from Asus (the Av8). I have the DastTrack
drivers loaded on a floppy. Actually, I have two floppies, both with the
same disk image. Anyway, I press F6 and load the driver and everything is
cool, but right after the last few bits of the install in the text interface
(it seems like it is right before the GUI but before any reboots), the
instllaer says "the disk or CD you insterted may be bad or damaged...press
enter, make sure it's the right disk." Well, Win XP loaded the driver just
fine when I pressed F6. I also tried using a different Win XP CD, and the
second floppy, but it won't go past this point. During boot up, the computer
sees my RAID just fine but I've also tried IDE mode, etc. etc.
Any ideas for me on this one?
