So it looks like it should work.
Another way to determine this, is to look at your motherboard, and
see what chip drives the SATA III port. For example, if the board
had a Marvell 88SE9128, you could check the Marvell site for info.
"Fully programmable on-chip transceivers support SATA, eSATA, and xSATA
at 6 Gb/s and backward compatible to 1.5 and 3 Gb/s."
So one connector supports all flavors in that case. You would hope
AMD Southbridges with SATA III would be similar.
