I have two pieces of equipment I would like to connect asynchronously. One
is an AI Badger router access module with async ports on the back. These are
available for pass thru connections to a Kentrox Crosspath cross connect/csu

The Kentrox pinout has:
1=RTS  (out)
2=DTR (out)
3=TXD (out)
6=RXD (in)
7=DSR (in)
8=CTS (in)

The badger ports say:
1=RTS (out)
2=DTR (out)
4=TXD (out)
5=RXD (in)
7=DSR (in)
8=CTS (in)

Can someone refer me please to a resource that will tell me how I should
build a cable with a male rj45 on each end that will enable communication? I
appreciate it. ..Mike

Have a look at the 'Null modem cables' section here:
You should be able to work it out from there.
