- RAID 1 Server blue screen

A couple of days ago we put a RAID 1 server together
Intel Pentium D 2.8
ASUS Extreme AX55O
2x Western Digital WD 1600SD
The original OS installation went without any events. Yesterday evening we
began copying files to the server and in the middle of the copy process we
suddenly got a blue screen. From there on the system went south in a hurry
(one blue screen after another, no consistent error, all different).
We tried re-formatting the drives, but now there is an error during the
installation (can't copy sprb040b.dll, the first of the SP1 files during the
OS installation, from there on no files copy from the CD). We first thought
the CD might be bad, but no, it does this with every Windows CD we throw in,
always at the exact same spot.
Has anyone encountered something like this before? We do not have any
experience with RAID 1 systems and really could use some help here.

Re: RAID 1 Server blue screen
installing the OS push the F6 key when prompted and have the drivers for the
Raid system on a floppy and install when prompted. From there on the install
should proceed normally. Be sure to reformat when installing in order to be
certain no corrupted files are left on the hard drives. You may have to go to
the Asus site to download the correct drivers if they are not on the CD that
came with the motherboard. Hope this helps.
