Hi all (again)
Further to my re-education in computer lessons.
I was looking at the specs for a Corsair HX520 on Overclockers uk and it
was described as "Modular"
I have 2 IDE drives on my present system and would like to bring them onto
a new PC
so IDE fittings woud be needed.
Would I be correct in saying that the cables are separate and you only fit
what you need?
Re: power supplies
That is the commonly-accepted definition when it comes to computer power
supplies. In the case of this unit, the main power lead which supplies the
mother board is permanently attached and all of the others are detachable.
The PS appears to come with a 4-pin Molex fitted to supply two drives and
at least one more fitted to supply three drives. I've not used any modulars
yet myself but they should surely make internal housekeeping simpler.
