motherboard supports it
1.how can i tell or check if it does?
2.will pci-e gcard work if my mobo doesnt support it, worse or same quality?
3.Leadtek GF 7800 GTX Extreme, 256MB, PCI-E, VIVO, 2 x DVI - is this
card any worse than gigabyte version?

Start with your manual. That way, you don't have to crack open the
case. Next would be to look at the slots. Here's a site with a
picture and a detailed explanation:
It won't physically fit if you don't have a PCI-E slot, and as far as
I know, there's no adapters available.
As with AGP cards, look for two cards with identical specs, and buy
the cheaper one. Everybody is still basically using the reference
design. The only thing that might make a difference is if you're
overclocking, as companies may use different brands and ratings of
onboard memory. At stock speeds, it doesn't matter. The benchmark
numbers will be so close that it's nitpick territory.
