Your comments on Sata and Pci limitations, do the"onboard" Sata controllers,
have the same limitations?

Southbridge-integral controllers do not, because the
southbridge no longer places all devices on the PCI bus but
rather concurrent, pseudo-parallel buses to PCI that then
share a mutli-data-rate (same concept as a DDR or QDR
northbridge-CPU ) link to the northbridge.
