computer tonight. The motherboard is an ASUS P4S800D-X and the
processor is a 2.8 ghz intel celeron something or another. After much
struggle i finally got it to work, reinstalled windows, and it was
working fine for a bit. Then i was plugging something into the wall
and the computer was jostled a bit, and now when it starts up all the
drives power up and the fans turn on, but the monitor does nothing. I
can't get to the BIOS or anything. If somebody could please help it
would be greatly appreciated.
*sigh* just a minute ago i tried booting up with only the RAM, video
card, and power supply..... and now it won't turn on at all. The power
light on the motherboard still turns on when i connect the power, but
the power switch does nothing...... does this sound like a
fried motherboard to you? if it is it's still under warranty. Thanks
Re: new motherboard worked for an hour and now nothing
A bit more info about the system wouldn't hurt, but so far
I'd suspect when it was jostled, that pulled a cable or the
video card out some.
Re-examine all cards, cables, etc, then if that doesn't help
while you have the AC still disconnected, clear the CMOS.
