I want to build a dual core CPU box.   I traditionally use
Intel products, but it looks like the AMD X2 is a better
performer.  Question is; I currently have DDR400 in my
machine.  If I change to a motherboard supporting
dual core Intel CPUs do I have to buy new DDR2 to
get it working?  Do I have to use pairs of memory.
Do pairs of sticks have to be the same make?

And if I build a dual core AMD system...can I just use
my old DDR400 to get it working?

Also anybody recommend Intel dual core over AMD?

Intel has faster clock speeds and is cheaper.

Yes. No. No.

Few compatibility issues occur when modules are the same organization, size,
and brand.
