...hoping that someone might shed some light on this besides the obvious.
..got the error below on a server I built myself. ...Tyan AMD Opteron MB and
4 gigs Kingston ECC Server RAM 2 x 2gigs.
...been running well for several months. This is the first time I got
something like this, but I did have some strange behavior over the last 2
days that required a reboot. The error came from an asp.net application
running in IIS6 web server. A similar error showed in the event viewer along
with the second error that starts, "faulting application..."
...could this be something other than some bad memory? What the best thing
to run to test it?
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication
that other memory is corrupt.
Faulting application w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.1830, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x0002fc3e.
