Ive got a Vantec Nexus and its great. But only gos as low as 7 volts.
Need one that can do 5 volts for my HTPC.
I was thinking of an AeroGate 3 or somthign like that. Then again
Maybe Zalman FanMate 2's would eb the go. But i do liek the idea of
glowy knons on my HTPC the vantec looks nice in my Antec OverTure 2
Thanks for any inpt.
Re: Lookg for a fan controller whats a good one !!!
True, but many will run at somewhere between 5V and 7V,
which if the case can accomdate the # and sizes needed, does
tend to make for a low noise system so long as they weren't
high-torque (higher RPM spec'd, usually) fan models that
tend to start making an annoying pulsating sound when
controlled by only voltage reduction.
OP could still use the vantec though, just hack out the
circuit a little and alter it, or at worst put a resistor in
series on the output, maybe 27 Ohm, 1 or 2W... maybe not.
