allready had paste on it and i put a then layer of silver 5 paste on
cpu its self.Is that the right way to do it?My computer case is one of
them small micro with 2 exust fans and one intake fan.But my cpu temps
is at 51 degree celsius. Is that high because the case is so small? How
can i get temps down?Thanks
Re: Installed amd athlon 64 3200.Hope i did it right
No. Too much paste. You must remove the old paste from both CPU and
heatsink and clean thouroughly. Put a small amount of Artic Silver
about the size of a grain of rice in the middle of the top of the CPU
then apply the heatsink.
Too much paste acts as an insulator and makes things worse.
The Artic Silver website has excellent instructions.
