Sometimes, quite often. Tried 2 LCDs and a CRT, same. He's got so much
crap on it after 4 yrs, we re-loaded XP, problem still there. Not heat
related, it's cool in there, cleaned it all out. After a while, we
re-start, and see the temp during boot up, it's OK.
Now, if you look at CPU usage, in the Task Manager-Performance, during
these black-outs, the CPU usage spikes to 100%, If he's typing during
a black-out, it beeps.
It's not re-booting, it always re-appears just where it was. What
could be causing the CPU to go to100% and freeze?
CPU= Athalon 2400, mobo is ?, Video card is GeForce FX5500.
How do change video cards: Do I remove existing drivers thru Device
Manager or Add-Remove programs, look for NVidia Drivers, remove, then
change video cards, install new drivers?
If it was Powersupply dropping, I think it would re-boot, no? We ran
without the DVD/CD rom for a while, lighten the load on PS, but same
