- Dual Core CPU, do I really need one?
Re: Dual Core CPU, do I really need one?
distribution as well as hp and driving habits. IE- 4-8GB of PC 6400
(800 MHz) ram so it's as fast as the FSB and hopefully big enough for a
full copy of the C,M,Y, & K layers (minimum).
Very few motherboards will use 800 mhz ram. The Asus P5WD2 or one of
it's pricier newer brothers will, and I think Abit has 1 that will do
it and somebody else makes one.
Dual SATA Raid drives are the fastest I've seen as of last December
unless you want to venture into rack mount light server territory.(so
it's unquestionably a tool)
I'm sure that within a year or two dual core will be "required" and
this system's specs will still be well above normal, but these
discussions will then be do I need quad? Deja Vu. This sounds like "do
I take DOS 4 or wait for 5?" all over again.
