Are these TEMPS and RMP's normal or at least within a safe range?
Cpu Fan 3245 RPM
Chasis Fan 2163 RPM
400 Watt Case with a rear 80mm ran
Case has a side air-duct
Motherboard ASUS A8S-X Socket 939
CPU AMD Athlon VENICE 3200+ 64Bit 2.0 Ghz
1 Gig DDR 400/3200 Ram
Maxtor 7200RPM 8MB Cache 80GIG Drive
GeForce 6800 GS 256bit/256mB GDDR RAM
Is there anything wrong with this setup or the TEMP/ FAN speeds?
Please let me know, thanks to all who reply/read this.
Re: Am I ok with these CPU TEMPS and FAN Speeds? Newly Built comp?? Help
Is this at idle or full load?
System temp needs assessed at full load. Use Prime95's
Torture Test, large in-place FFTs setting, to load the
system. Take temp reading after 30 minutes while Prime95 is
Be sure to check the hard drive temps too, a side-duct is
usually detrimental to the lower front chassis cooling
unless the case has a lower front intake fan.
Well the fan speed on the CPU looks a little high for noise
reduction purposes, and would be expected to go even higher
at full load (assuming motherboard has a speed control for
the fan). Your CPU temp may go down a couple more degrees
after running a few days, a few thermal cycles off/on, but
that's not so significant as the full load temp and noise
levels, whether they're acceptible to you.
