help....xp says no audio device

hi i bought a dell inspiron 1300 that looks brand new....it had vista
on it but when clock ran out i had to reinstal xp from the dell
recover disc....but when i use it it says no audio device installed so
i go to the audio device in properties and it is all grey so i cant
click on anything....what is wrong....thanks

Please log in for more thread options
Go to Dell's web site and check for the current audio drivers. Install them.

Check with Dell and find out when the system was purchased and the
warranty status. (This assumes that your "purchase" was legitimate and
not a disposal of "borrowed" equipment.)

thanks alot...i downloaded drivers and it works....thanks 4 the help
