I've been lusting after an Intel quad core upgrade for my Win7-64 PC. I have  
not seen any downward price change for new or used parts. However, on eBay,  
now I see marketers selling "better & cheaper" LGA 771 quads with an 771/775  
adapter for the desktop market. Any ideas regarding potential problems? I  
have no idea of height or board or if it will impact cooler/fan. Intel makes  
the adapter. There seem to be tiny capacitors everywhere. See:

I think my main concern would be how to cool a chip with twice the TDP
of the chip it is replacing, which I would assume would require a better
