in Linux, Windows XP Pro and Windows 98se and I have just acquired a 19 inch
widescreen monitor with native resolution of 1440 x 900 at 60hzs.
Linux had a 1440 x 900 option in the list of available resolutions and that
worked fine. Windows XP did not but I was able to create a custom setting
and that works fine. The odd one is Windows 98se. I have the option to
set custom resolutions but when I enter 1440 x 900 it says that the custom
resolution cannot be added.
Is this because Windows 98se cannot handle that resolution or is there a way
around. Currently, in Win 98se I am using 1280 x 800 which gives me the
same height/width ratio but I would like to get it to 1440 x 900 if
