I have two USB 2.0 PCI cards installed in my computer now.  One is
based upon the NEC chip and the other is based upon the VIA chip.  My
motherboard is an older one that  supports USB 1.1 for its own USB

The problem is any device that makes itself a drive when connected
loses connection when accessed or file transfer begins.  Cameras,
camcorders, flash drives, external drives all get write delay fail
errors or just vanish from the list of drives.  Everything works fine

Manager is perfectly happy with the installations.  I have moved the
cards around to separate slots and used each one individually.

I can't afford a new motherboard/CPU/RAM etc. at this point and really
don't need an upgrade other than this confounded USB problem.
