- USB mouse is not working

Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS5 motherboard. Everything seemed to work fine unless
I tried to play a game where traditional mouse is required. The cordless
Logitech Evolution VX does not want to work when attached to one of USB
ports. The strange thing about that is that another Logitech product,
diNovo Cordless Keyboard (with built-in tochpad) is working perfectly.
The difference between those two product is that diNovo uses BT and
Evolution VX uses 2.4Ghz transmitter. Mouse does not work even if
attached without keyboard. I have even tried traditional mouse connected
to USB. Except of few moves when connected it went dead few moments
after. I have double checked and in BIOS both functions which allows to
use USB Mouse and keyboard has been enabled.
I have checked also if overclocking might have something to do with it -
but no. Under BIOS Optimized and Fail-Safe default the results are similar.
Do you have any clues?

Re: USB mouse is not working
Once again thanks for the advice. It paid off to be a bit more patient, but...I
still do not get how
the problem has been solved. According to your advice I tried to switch between
ports. First two
failed but 3 (out of 8 that are available) has started to work. And here comes
the weird part. From
the moment THIS one port initiated connections all other ports started to work
Maybe computers are like flowers, you have to talk to them, play nice music and
be nice in general
if you want them to work
