is crimped on to an RJ45 jack for use as a straight-through
(non-crossover) network cable ?
I've seen descriptions on the Net that start with
Orange/White at pin No.1, and others that start with
Green/White, *both* for non-crossover cables, i.e. -
Orn/W Orn Grn/W Blue Blue/W Grn Brn/W Brn
- OR -
Grn/W Grn Orn/W Blue Blue/W Orn Brn/W Brn
I know the color doesn't make any difference as long as the
twisted pairs are paired correctly for Tx and Rx paths. I
also know that both orderings are used in a crossover cable.
But I believe there *is* a standard order of colors for
straight-through cables, and I'm curious.
