undervolted whichever processor he had. And I'd looked at
speedfan(clicking configure for more useful options).
the undervolting helped him and would help me 'cos it would lower the
temp and thus keep fan speed down. notebook hardware monitor had an
option to check it was stable. (the only risk - I think - , was thus
covered). He (I think also) found an otpion in notebook hardware
monitor to set different multipliers so different clock speeds, for
different temperatures or different cpu usage %s.
I tried both Speedfan and Notebook Hardware Monitor on my laptop, but
I have a pentium mobile processor..
laptop is toshiba satellite.
