For the past several day when I tryto boot up my XP system at the
start of the boot I get a message keyboard problem of no keyboard
present.  Press F1 to continue or Del to enter setup.  When I press
either key nothing happens and I can only turn off the system and
again hit the start button.  Just before finally starting today I went
through that process 15 time before I finally got past that problem.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so could you respond with your

Try a different keyboard with that system and that keyboard
with a different system.

There's also potentially a setting in the bios to "Halt
On..." where you pick Disk, Keyboard, All, or None.  If your
keyboard is USB you could pick none then once windows boots,
unplug and replug it but that seems a hassle.

If your board is jumpered to use 5VSB instead of 5V (see
motherboard manual to identify whether such a jumper exists,
where it is if it does, and which positions to use for which
setting), combined with a PSU that has marginal 5VSB
capacity or a failure in that subcircuit, jumpering to 5V
instead of 5VSB could help.
