I'm running a Fujitsu-Siemens D1520 Intel 845GE based board with 2.4ghz
Celeron CPU installed on it. I'm suspecting that one of the ram slots
is defect. Heres a problem description. Since the board has microATX
design it has 2 ram slots - 0 and 1. The problem is that only slot 1
works. I have two banks of ram for testing purposes who run well for
sure - an Infineon 512MB PC400 and OEM 128MB PC266. Both work with no
problem in Slot 1 but none in Slot 0[i get only the usual beeping as no
ram is even been installed]. I've tried cleaning the slot unfortunately
with no result. Could that be a chipset problem ? Any suggestions bout
fixing that ? Thanks in advance for any replies.
