- Problem trying to find RAM for motherboard

I'm trying to upgrade the RAM for a friend of mine but am having trouble
finding what RAM will be supported & what wont be. They've currently got an
MSI 128MB DDR 2100 in it. The system is an Intel Celeron 1.7GHz CPU. I
believe that it uses the Intel 845G (found some other info that describes it
as "Brookdale-G i845GL", a TriGem Glendale board...TriGem's site is 100%
USELESS as far as I can tell, nothing but a commercial & no search feature
that I could see).
The system is an HP Pavilion 503n. (which makes things worse). I'm wanting
to put 256MB more in there, & maybe just swap the 128MB for another 256MB.
Anyone able to help with finding this info? Intel is also almost just as bad
as HP when it comes to giving very clear support for their products.
There are 10 types of people in this world...
...those who understand binary & those who don't.

Since it currently uses a PC2100 DDR module, you should be
able to use any typical/common PC2100 256MB module.
Sometimes there are motherboard-module incompatibilities
that are unforseeable though, it's prudent to buy name-brand
memory from someplace with a reasonable return policy.
